Famous and Best Mexican Actors and Actresses

In honor of the Cinco de Mayo (May 5) celebration, I will feature in this hub the beautiful, best and famous Mexican actresses and actors. Cinco de Mayo is a celebration in Mexico and in other parts of the world where there Mexicans in honor of the battle won against the French colonizers. In essence, the Cinco De Mayo celebration commemorates the Mexican army's unlikely victory over the forces of the French on May 5, 1862 at Puebla, Mexico. Here at Dallas, TX, USA it is celebrated by the Mexicans. Since Texas is bordered by the Mexico, there are lots of immigrants here and they celebrate it with gusto. Some activities  include, food, music and dancing.

There are lots of many Mexican famous and best actors and actresses who are well known in the world of arts, music and entertainment, In this hub, I will focus on the entertainment industry. Here are the list of the famous and best Mexican actors and actresses.

(1).Famous and Best Mexican Actors and Actresses -- Salma Hayek

Salma Hayek is a Mexican actress, film producer and director. She is into charity as well and that includes increasing awareness on the violence against women plus help with immigration. She is the first Mexican national to be nominated for the Academy award since Dolores Del Rio-- another top Mexican actress.

    * In July 2007, The Hollywood Reporter ranked Hayek fourth in their inaugural Latino Power 50, a list of the most powerful members of the Hollywood Latino community.
    * In 2007 a poll found Hayek to be the "sexiest celebrity" out of a field of 3,000 celebrities

    * Hayek is the first Mexican national to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress. She is one of the most prominent Mexican figures in Hollywood since silent film actress Dolores Del Rio.
    * After fernanda Montenegro, she is the the second of three Latin American actresses (the other being Catalina Sandino Moreno) to achieve a Best Actress Oscar nomination.

Ariadna Thalía Sodi Miranda known simply as Thalía, is a singer (Mexican) and former actress who appeared in telenovela series (her soap operas have been watched by over 2 billion people in 180 countries). Thalia has been my favorite actress as I watched her when I was still in the Philippines.She is famous for the telenovela series she appeared in all over the world.

    * She is considered the queen of soap operas (biggest TV phenomenon in the 90s)
    * One of the most famous Latin singers ever
    * Thalía has received more than 2,000 awards throughout her career for both singing and acting and is a multi-platinum singer.
    * She is very sexy and beautiful

(3).Famous and Best Mexican Actors and Actresses -- George Lopez

George Lopez is considered America's King of Mexicans. He is a comedian, actor, and talk show host. He is mostly known for starring in his self-produced sitcom George Lopez. His type of comedies are : race and ethnic relations, including his own culture -- Mexican-American. He is currently the host of the late-night talk show Lopez Tonight on TBS. When he was interviewing Chris Rock this April 2010 in his show he told Chris that when Pres. Obama was still campaigning for the presidency, he called him personally to help with the Mexican votes.

George Lopez is also into charity, he has his own foundation who helps the poor. He also plays golf, quite controversial at times but he managed to stay away from trouble.
